A devastating late-night crash in Douglas County, Georgia, has left a community shaken after an 18-year-old woman lost her life in a violent single-vehicle accident.
What Happened
According to authorities, the crash occurred around 3:36 a.m. on March 28 along Chapel Hill Road near Rosemont Drive. Responding officers found a severely damaged Mercedes that had overturned multiple times after leaving the roadway.
Preliminary reports suggest the vehicle was traveling at a very high speed while navigating a curve. The driver reportedly lost control, causing the car to veer onto the shoulder, strike an embankment, and become airborne before flipping repeatedly.
Victim Identified
Officials confirmed the victim as Patience Price, 18, who was seated in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash.
Investigators believe she was not wearing a seatbelt, which led to her being ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. She tragically died at the scene.
