DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) – A three-phase retail and residential development is one vote away from becoming a reality in Daphne.
The project will include a Neighborhood Walmart with several retail outparcels and upscale apartments on vacant farmland at the northwest corner of Highway 181 and County Road 64.
Montgomery-based Trotman Company has worked with the city of Daphne on the conceptual plan to accentuate the area’s history and scale back the number of apartments to be built from more than 300 to 200.
With these changes, Daphne Mayor Robin LeJeune said he expects the City Council will approve the project at its next meeting…
