DONELSON, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Donelson Bowl officially shut its doors in 2023 with plans for the new buyers to build apartments in place of the city’s oldest bowling alley, but construction is still delayed.
It has been a few years since Nashville’s oldest bowling alley was demolished, but many still remember walking through the original doors.

“It’s one of the first places I went when I was looking at property in Donelson, and the realtor took me inside,” Councilman Jeff Gregg said. “She said, ‘You’ve got to look at this going inside. It looks just like it did in the 1950s.’ So it’s very beloved and cherished. I’m excited that we still have the site.”
The project has been delayed, but Gregg said developers are waiting to see what happens with WeGo’s plans for Donelson Station…
