Iconic Pa. bar, restaurant to close after 30 years: ‘End of an era’

A much-beloved Pittsburgh bar and restaurant announced on Tuesday that it’s closing after over 30 years in business.

The owners of Fat Head’s Saloon announced on social media that they plan to close the location on the city’s south side later this month.

“Back in 1992, this place started as a simple idea: open the doors, serve great food and beer, and create a place where people felt welcome. What we never could have imagined was how many lives would pass through those doors, and how deeply this place would become part of the community,” the post read…
