Lynchburg man arrested after threatening to shoot up Jefferson Forest High School: BCSO

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A Lynchburg man is facing charges after officials said he made threats against Jefferson Forest High School.

According to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, their investigation started when a South Carolina resident called them after seeing a disturbing comment on YouTube. According to the caller, the comment was “referencing someone making threats to students at Jefferson Forest High School that would occur on 4/1/26.”

The sheriff’s office got to work tracking down the suspect through IP searches and other identifying methods. During their search, BCSO said they identified the suspect as 42-year-old Lynchburg resident Brian Scott Barlow. He was arrested right away, officials said…
