Syracuse, N.Y. ― A state appellate court has tossed a Syracuse man’s murder conviction for a second time and ordered a new trial.
Shala Williams was convicted of fatally shooting his uncle in a 2023 retrial after the same appellate court reversed his first conviction. Now, the second conviction has been overturned and Williams has been granted a third trial.
