Staten Island business leader who mentored hundreds and fed 252 families dies at 60

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Chrissy Cowan, a Staten Island business leader who dedicated nearly three decades to mentoring entrepreneurs and supporting those in need, died after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. She was 60 years old.

Born April 30, 1965, to John Mazzola and Andree Sweek, Chrissy was known for her vibrant personality and tireless work ethic.
