Rockford caregivers push for higher wages

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Caregivers in the Rockford area are speaking out, calling for higher wages as they say low pay is making it harder to stay in the field and impacting care for people with disabilities.

At a community forum Tuesday night, direct-support professionals (DSPs), caregivers who assist people with disabilities in daily life, shared their experiences and pushed for change.
