Back in 1978, Homer Aparicio founded Anchor Seafood, beginning what would become a multi-generational relationship with the Gulf. What started as a way to support his growing family quickly expanded into a five-boat operation known as the “Rio fleet.” Over time, that modest beginning grew into a thriving shrimping company with 10 commercial vessels, firmly establishing the Aparicio family as a key contributor to Texas’ seafood industry.
