It has been three weeks since Sean Six, a Tulsa man, was shot and killed at a house in south Tulsa. The case has generated numerous theories on social media, but Tulsa Police detectives say their investigation continues to point to self-defense.
Update on the Investigation
Detectives from the Tulsa Police Department’s Homicide Unit spoke with News On 6 to provide an update on the investigation. Despite the widespread speculation online, they emphasized that their findings have been grounded in evidence, not social media posts. According to Lieutenant Brandon Watkins, the evidence at the scene and their investigation have supported the self-defense theory.
“We have a lot more information than the public does. A lot of what’s going on out there is pure speculation,” Watkins said.
The detectives are still in the process of interviewing additional witnesses before turning the case over to the District Attorney’s Office (DA) for final review.

Watkins stressed that the investigation into Six’s death is being taken very seriously. Despite the public’s focus on self-defense, detectives look at such claims carefully, just as they would with any other case. “Somebody has lost their life.
