Fire at auto repair garage in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Crews battled a fire that broke out at an auto repair garage in Clifton Park Tuesday evening. Jays Auto Repair off Route 146 was fully engulfed in flames while two vehicles were in its garage.

According to the Clifton Park Volunteer Department, crews were dispatched at 6:50 p.m. for a structure fire on Freedom Lane. When they arrived, they were faced with a fully involved structure at Jays Auto Repair.

They began with an aggressive exterior attack on the fire. Two vehicles were in the garage which presented an additional hazard, making an interior attack unsafe for firefighters. A second alarm was called, bringing additional help to the scene.
