Court seals 911 calls in Barnardsville infant stabbing case

BARNARDSVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Prosecutors for the case involving a 34-year-old Barnardsville woman accused of stabbing her 10-month-old son to death have successfully requested that the 911 calls and related reports in the case be sealed.

As previously reported, Ciera Breann Frederick was arrested on Thursday, March 26, after the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing call on Rocala Drive in Barnardsville. When they arrived on the scene, first responders found Frederick’s 10-month-old son with multiple stab wounds. The sheriff’s office said the baby was taken to Mission Hospital, where he died.
