AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF) – As Augusta prepares for the influx of golf patrons over the next week and a half, Golden Harvest Food Bank continues its work to feed families across the CSRA. Its leaders are pointing out that hunger doesn’t take Masters Week off.
The economy is having a major impact on the organization. The high prices of food and gas are not only affecting more people in the community, but also Golden Harvest Food Bank and its operations.
“This is something that also is impacting us at the food bank, by putting fuel in our trucks. Our trucks are going out across 24 counties to make sure that we’re getting food to our partners.
