Evansville man arrested after being identified by phone left at scene of armed burglary

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville man was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail early Wednesday morning after police say he left his cell phone and glasses at the scene of a residential burglary and attempted robbery.

24-year-old Taquan J. Moore was arrested on charges of Level 2 felony burglary and Level 3 felony armed robbery. He is currently being held without bond.

Evansville Police Department officers responded to a residence on Brittany Court around 10:30 a.m. on March 10th following reports of a burglary in progress. The victim told investigators they woke up to find two men standing in his bedroom wearing masks and demanding money and drugs…
