HICKSVILLE, Ohio — A tornado touched down just southeast of Hicksville in Defiance County Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service bureau in northern Indiana.
The tornado has been classified as an EF-1 due to its peak wind speeds of 95 mph. The NWS uses the Enhanced Fujita scale to rate tornadoes, designating them EF-0 to EF-5 based on wind speeds and damage caused.
