Heavy rainfall leads to sink hole in Noble County

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) —The Noble County Sheriff’s Office shared an update on Wednesday warning residents about hazardous road conditions following heavy rainfall.

The department shared that heavy rainfall caused a sinkhole in Swan Township. According to neighbors at the scene, an SUV was heading south on 700 E around 5:00 a.m. when the road collapsed.

S 700 E is closed near the Hopewell Road intersection until the roadway is repaired.
