Big growth, big questions: 900-home project moves forward in Guilford County

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A proposed housing development that could bring up to 900 homes south of Greensboro in Guilford County is moving forward, as the Greensboro Planning and Zoning Commission weighs long-term growth plans against concerns from nearby residents.

The commission voted 7-2 on March 13 to recommend annexing more than 100 acres along Old Randleman Road into city limits and rezoning the land to allow a large residential development.
