According to officials from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the accident occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Shaw Road, near Paradise Shores Road—approximately nine miles west of Tanner.

Preliminary investigations reveal that 89-year-old Robbie Tucker was driving a Dodge Grand Caravan when the vehicle suddenly left the roadway. Moments later, it collided with a tree.
