A short but nasty armed robbery spree across Jacksonville is over, thanks to some old-fashioned detective work and a whole lot of video review.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old James Weaver and 25-year-old Richard King are accused of terrorizing lone cashiers over roughly 10 days, using pepper spray on victims and cleaning out cash registers at several stores before finally getting caught.
Both men were arrested and booked into the Duval County Jail on multiple counts of armed robbery after investigators pieced together their movements through surveillance footage and other evidence, the agency said on X, as reported by the Jax Sheriff’s Office.
