SATSUMA, Ala. (WKRG) — The principal of a Satsuma school has officially announced her retirement.

According to a news release, Principal Suzanne Bahr of Lee Elementary School announced that she will be retiring at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

Bahr began working at Lee in 2006 as a second-grade teacher and later transitioned into a school leadership position. She became principal ahead of the 2020-2021 school year.

“Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Bahr has been known for building a positive school climate and culture,” said Dana Price, superintendent of Satsuma City Schools. “She has remained deeply supportive of her teachers and staff while maintaining high expectations for instruction to ensure students receive the best possible education. Her leadership is marked by compassion, a strong emphasis on family, and a genuine care for others.”…
