Hillsborough County high school student arrested after weapons found in his backpack: deputies

RUSKIN, Fla. — A Hillsborough County high school student is facing charges after multiple weapons were found in his backpack, officials say.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said a school resource deputy was told by a school administrator of an anonymous report that a 17-year-old student at Lennard High School in Ruskin had a weapon on campus.
