Alleged armed Rohnert Park rooftop suspect leads authorities to cache of firearms

(KRON) — A man faces several charges after he allegedly pointed a shotgun from his Rohnert Park rooftop at passersby last Saturday morning and soon led investigators to a cache of firearms in his residence.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said officers responded at 8:44 a.m. to the scene and found the suspect, later identified as Tiwart Bachir Kyorkian, “standing on the roof with a shotgun, allegedly pointing it toward individuals and yelling profanities, including racial remarks, at people working in the backyard of a neighboring residence.”

Rohnert Park DPS said Kyorkian was taken into custody but refused to comply with a court ordered gun violence restraining order which required him to immediately surrender all of his firearms. After detectives obtained a search warrant for his home, they uncovered “multiple firearms and various calibers of ammunition.”…
