CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A Linn County man connected to a high-profile murder case is back in custody after allegedly violating the terms of his probation.
According to a probation violation report filed March 26, Logan Kimpton is accused of failing to follow multiple court-ordered conditions, including missing a required intake at a residential correctional facility and testing positive for drugs.
Authorities say Kimpton was directed to report to the Gerald R. Hinzman Center on March 23 but never showed up and did not respond to calls or messages. The report also cites recent marijuana use, along with earlier positive tests for THC and methamphetamine…
