Dallas cops and federal marshals are turning up the heat on wanted suspects, rolling out a new monthlong fugitive sweep they are bluntly calling Operation We Got You.
The operation launched today and runs through May 8. It pairs the Dallas Police Department’s Fugitive Unit with the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, with a stated focus on people wanted on violent felony warrants who officials say pose the highest risk to public safety.
In a post on X, the Dallas Police Department said officers and marshals have already recovered four firearms, including one reported stolen and another converted to fire automatically. They also reported seizing about 25.5 grams of fentanyl, 24 grams of crack cocaine, 3.9 grams of methamphetamine and more than $1,900 in cash. The post noted that the operation will run through May 8 and named several people arrested by the task force, including Eric Lampkin-Scarborough.
