SALINE COUNTY, Ark. – Officials with the Saline County Sheriff’s Department said a Sunday night traffic stop became a major drug seizure.
Officials said the stop on Interstate 30 conducted by deputies at the 106 Mile Marker found a truck with narcotics inside. The drugs were valued at $4.5 million, officials said.

The truck was driven by 38-year-old Firdavs Nazarov of the Republic of Tajikistan, officials said, and he was taken into custody without incident. Investigators determined that Nazarov was in the United States on an expired tourist visa and was using a New York driver’s license.
Officials determined that the truck Nazarov was driving had an Alaska license plate. Further investigation identified the truck’s owner, who told officials that Nazarov was driving from Oregon to South Carolina on deliver the truck’s contents.
