EUGENE, Ore. — A 36-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attempting to grab a 19-year-old woman in west Eugene, police said.
Officers responded around 11:33 a.m. on March 31 after a 911 caller reported that a man, later identified as Kerry Michael Diamond, tried to grab the woman near the intersection of Bailey Hill Road and West 11th Avenue. The suspect then fled east on foot along West 11th Avenue, prompting a search by responding officers, according to Eugene Police.
The victim told police she had been walking along Bailey Hill Road when Diamond approached her, made comments about her body and then attempted to grab her. She tried to get the attention of passing drivers for help, but vehicles continued past as the man followed her, according to authorities…
