SPOKANE, Wash. – A new parking tax in downtown Spokane officially goes into effect on Wednesday, April 1. Here’s everything you need to know.
The 12% tax is specifically tied to parking in commercial parking lots, and the funds generated will be designated only for transportation projects such as street and sidewalk construction. Structured parking garages with at least two floors will see a reduced tax rate of 6%.
