Clark County inmate with pending violent charges escapes Western State Hospital

WASHINGTON, USA — A Clark County inmate with pending robbery and assault charges escaped from Western State Hospital in Lakewood, Washington, on Tuesday night, and authorities are asking the public for help locating him, according to a Clark County press release Wednesday.

Joshua Dylan Rice, 35, broke out of the hospital at approximately 8 p.m. March 31, the press release said. Clark County was notified of the escape Wednesday afternoon, according to the release.

Rice has pending charges of robbery in the first degree, assault in the first degree and theft of a motor vehicle in Clark County Superior Court, according to Clark County.
