Own it: Augusta eatery Villa Europa property ‘considered a teardown’

One of the Augusta area’s most beloved restaurants is for sale, but it would cost more to renovate than to demolish.

Although Villa Europa, 3044 Deans Bridge Rd., is on the market, ads for the property mention that the 7,356-square-foot building is “considered a teardown,” according to commercial real estate agency Jordan Trotter.

The 1.57-acre property is on two parcels: the restaurant itself at the corner of Deans Bridge Road and Lyman Street, and a building on 2580 Lyman St. that was built as a home in the 1940s but used in later years by Villa Europa as more restaurant space. The house is vacant and boarded-up…
