CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tijema Brown, the daughter for former Charlotte city councilwoman Tiawana Brown, is expected to enter a plea in federal court Wednesday regarding a COVID-19 relief fraud scheme.
This comes after her mother, Tiawana, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
According to federal court records, Brown admitted to conspiring with her two daughters, Tijema and Antionette Rouse, to submit fraudulent applications for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the COVID-19 pandemic…
