Tiawana Brown’s daughter pleads guilty in fraud scheme case

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tijema Brown, the daughter for former Charlotte city councilwoman Tiawana Brown, is expected to enter a plea in federal court Wednesday regarding a COVID-19 relief fraud scheme.

This comes after her mother, Tiawana, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
