Flint Energies announces new rate changes starting April 1

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Flint Energies Board of Directors announced on Wednesday that several rate changes will go into effect, impacting consumer-members’ billing.

The changes made were established following an in-depth cost of service study, according to Flint Energies. Officials say most of their members will see a net decrease in their monthly bills from a rate perspective for 2026.

According to Flint Energies, their residential base charge will increase from $36 to $38 per month. This long-term modification is intended to gradually align their monthly charge with fixed costs of operating the 7,000+ mile electric system…
