Despite the cancellation of horse shows at both the Los Banos Spring Fair and the Stanislaus County Fair, 4‑H and FFA riders will still have several opportunities to compete this spring, according to organizers.
In a notice to youth exhibitors, longtime show volunteer Charlie Alamo said that “even though the Los Banos Spring Fair and the Stanislaus County have decided to eliminate their horse shows, there are still four junior horse shows to participate in.”
Fair officials in Los Banos and Stanislaus County announced earlier this year that their horse shows would be cut from the 2026 lineup, citing budget constraints, scheduling conflicts and declining participation.
