An Ocala woman accused of fatally rear-ending a young mother’s motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol has been released from the Marion County Jail after a judge denied the state’s motion for pretrial detention.
Melinda Yvonne Dillon, 35, was released on Saturday, March 28, at 10:13 p.m. Her release follows a court hearing where Judge Steven Rogers denied the state’s request to keep her in custody until trial and, instead, granted a defense motion to set bond.
