PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Mobile man has pleaded guilty to the murder of his ex-girlfriend, who was a reservist in the United States Air Force.

According to a Department of Justice news release, 31-year-old Charles Carson-Dowdy shot and ran over Starmichael Tucker, leading to her death.

Carson-Dowdy pleaded guilty in federal court to cyberstalking, interstate domestic violence, murder through use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The release said Carson-Dowdy and Tucker began dating around October 2024, but by Jan. 1, 2025, Tucker had attempted to end the relationship after multiple text arguments.

“During the dating relationship, Carson-Dowdy used cellular telephones, the internet, and a ridesharing business to engage in a course of conduct with the intent to harass and intimidate the victim,” the release said…
