Trafford Stepdad Stabbed In Adrian Avenue Street Fight, Cops Say

A Saturday night confrontation on Adrian Avenue in Trafford ended with a man stabbed multiple times and his adult stepson in handcuffs, according to police. Officers say 29-year-old Timothy Rosario was arrested outside a duplex after a fight that spilled into the street. The victim, identified as Jose Carrillo, suffered stab wounds to his head, stomach and shoulder and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, as per CBS Pittsburgh.

Police response and charges

Trafford Borough officers were called to the Adrian Avenue duplex just after 10 p.m. When they arrived, police say they found Rosario in the street holding a tree branch, while Carrillo was lying outside the home. Investigators report that a knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered in the driveway and that Carrillo was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Rosario is now facing multiple counts, including attempted criminal homicide. He was denied bail and is currently being held at the county prison. “This is a difficult moment for the Trafford community as a whole and I ask that you please keep everyone involved in your thoughts,” Mayor John Daykon said in a statement, according to CBS Pittsburgh.

That documentation underscores that the altercation unfolded on a residential block rather than a commercial strip, according to the Borough of Trafford.

Rosario faces attempted criminal homicide and related charges, with local prosecutors in Westmoreland County handling the case and any upcoming court dates. The county prison where people arrested on local charges are held is located at 3000 South Grande Boulevard in Greensburg, according to Westmoreland County…
