Iowa AG: Des Moines officers justified in fatal February shooting

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Attorney General’s Office has released its findings after a Des Moines officer-involved shooting that left one dead in February.

On February 19, the Des Moines Police Department reported being called to a stabbing, at which point they say an officer encountered the alleged suspect who advanced on the officer with a weapon, and was shot by two DMPD officers on the scene.
