White River Health out of network with UnitedHealthcare

White River Health announced today that, effective April 1, 2026, its hospitals and facility-based services are out of network with UnitedHealthcare for individuals with UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare Advantage plans. Arkansas state retirees, teachers and patients with VA coverage are not affected by this change.

The announcement follows ongoing negotiations between the two organizations. White River Health leaders expressed disappointment that an agreement could not be reached.

“This is not the outcome we wanted,” said Steven Webb, president and CEO of White River Health. “We are disappointed we were unable to come to terms with UnitedHealthcare on a contract that ensures patients can continue accessing high-quality care in their community. Our priority remains ensuring patients can get the care they need, close to home.”…
