Two charged in road rage incident, one still at large

LOS LUNAS — Los Lunas police are still searching for the suspected gunman of a possible road rage incident that happened at the Valencia Y last week.

After an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Nicholas Gurule, 25, of Los Lunas, who is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm towards a vehicle and shooting from a vehicle. His location is unknown as of Tuesday, March 31, and LLPD advises he is armed and dangerous.

Gurule is 6-foot, 4-inches tall, 265 pounds with brown eyes and dark hair. Attempts to get an update on the case from LLPD before News-Bulletin deadline were unsuccessful.

According to the criminal complaint, Gurule exchanged gunfire with the driver of a white passenger vehicle while stopped at a red light at the intersection of Main Street and N.M. 47. No charges have been filed against the driver of the white vehicle at this time…
