A new community-focused development is underway in Downtown Las Vegas as Cherry Development and the city of Las Vegas have broken ground on The Good Word Social Club. The project is designed to support small businesses, strengthen neighborhood connections, and bring new energy to the Historic Westside. Slated to open by the end of 2026, The Good Word Social Club will introduce a gathering space that blends dining, entertainment, and community programming in one location.
The Good Word Social Club is part of a broader effort to revitalize the Historic Westside, one of Las Vegas’ most culturally significant neighborhoods. The project will be developed alongside shareWESTSIDE, a five-story residential building with more than 100 units, also being constructed by Cherry Development. Together, the two developments are intended to create a more connected, community-oriented environment for both residents and visitors.
City officials view The Good Word Social Club as a key addition to ongoing redevelopment efforts. “The Good Word Social Club is an exciting next step in the Historic Westside’s revitalization, creating a space for local businesses and the community to come together,” says Mayor Shelley Berkley, in a press release. “Through partnerships like this, the city continues its commitment to investing in the Historic Westside’s growth while honoring its history.”
Cherry Development CEO Sam Cherry says the concept aligns with the company’s broader approach to community-driven projects. “The Good Word is the perfect complement to shareWESTSIDE,” says Cherry, in a press release. “Our shareDOWNTOWN apartment buildings are focused on building community and this market hall will offer residents and the entire neighborhood a beautiful gathering space while also supporting the development of local businesses.”…
