Olivia Rodrigo is set to release her highly anticipated third studio album, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,” on June 12. The singer unveiled the album cover on Instagram Thursday, showcasing a striking image of herself upside down on a swing, dressed in a pink dress paired with white crew socks and black heels.
“I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it,” Rodrigo wrote, adding that the album is now available for preorder.
This new release follows her second album, Guts, which debuted in September 2023 and included hits like “vampire,” “bad idea right?” and “get him back!” Rodrigo supported Guts with a world tour that began in February 2024, kicking off at the Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California, and wrapping up with a finale at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
Rodrigo first burst onto the music scene with her debut album Sour in May 2021, which earned her multiple Grammy Awards the following year, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Drivers License,” as well as Best New Artist.
In the weeks leading up to the announcement, fans noticed subtle hints teasing the new album, including a stylized logo featuring Rodrigo’s initials appearing on a pink wall in Los Angeles and on a lock attached to a fence in Hoboken, New Jersey.
With “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” arriving in June, Olivia Rodrigo continues to build on her rapidly growing legacy in pop music.
