Columbia County murder-suicide: Victim’s calls showed rising tension

GROVETOWN, Ga (WJBF)- We now know more about what led up to Wednesday’s domestic murder-suicide in Columbia County. The victim, 36-year-old Myneika Scott, called the Columbia County Sheriff’s office at least 3 times since October about her estranged husband, 37-year-old Titus Scott. They had three children, ages 8, 12, and 17.

In October, she told deputies he followed her home from their daughters softball game. She told police she didn’t feel safe.

Then in November, Myneika called law enforcement to do a welfare check on Titus, worried he was suicidal. Deputies confirmed he was and found a nearly empty bottle of liquor and a loaded handgun on his table…
