Man sentenced to prison in shooting death of son during argument over electric bill

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man accused of killing his adult son during a drunken fight over an electric bill was sentenced Thursday to more than two decades in prison.

Prosecutors said Jose Guadalupe Preciado was sentenced to 21 years — the term agreed upon when he pleaded no contest last month to voluntary manslaughter.

Preciado, 52, was previously charged with murder, among other crimes…
