Neighbors on Rosedale Road in northwest Baltimore were jolted last night when the sound of gunfire cut through the block, sending police racing to the 3600 block and shutting down the street while detectives went to work.
Officers sealed off part of Rosedale Road and diverted traffic as investigators combed the scene. They were seen collecting a spent cartridge casing and examining items left on the front steps of a nearby home. A black 2017 Hyundai Genesis was reported taken in what witnesses and detectives described as a shooting and apparent carjacking.
According to Fox45, police urged residents to keep an eye out for the Genesis while detectives stayed on scene into the night. The station reported that investigators focused their search on the 3600 block and concentrated evidence collection around the house closest to where the shots were heard.
