Indiana law requires you to present a photo ID before you can vote. Each ID has to be issued by the state of Indiana or by the U.S. government. Common examples include your driver’s license, passport or military ID.
The rules have changed since our last election. Students with an ID from one of Indiana’s colleges or universities used to be able to use that to check in at vote centers. As of July 2025, student IDs are no longer accepted at polling places…
