Manatee County considers paid parking at Anna Maria Island beach

ANNA MARIA ISLAND, Fla. (WWSB) – Manatee County leaders are considering ending free beach parking on Anna Maria Island, a move that has drawn criticism from residents and visitors.

County officials said the conversation is in early stages. Staff are looking at ways to reduce the cost burden on taxpayers, particularly for parking spaces used heavily by tourists.
