CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A local pastor with a documented criminal history appeared in a Chesapeake General District Court Wednesday morning, facing a new set of charges following an alleged incident at a Chesapeake church last month.
The charges against Da’Qwone Hill, of Norfolk, which include sexual battery and assault and battery, stem from an alleged incident that occurred Feb. 28, according to court documents.

A mother who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the incident involved her 18-year-old son inside a church located on Indian River Road. The location appears to be a nondescript building housing several businesses, and there is no sign for a church. Online records indicate it was known as House of Faith.
Hill’s history with the local justice system dates back to at least 2017 when he was accused of sex crimes in Norfolk. Online court records show that, in 2018, he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of indecent liberties…
