Boy, 7, Shot Three Times at Trouble-Plagued SW Atlanta Apartments

Early Thursday morning, a 7-year-old boy was shot multiple times at an apartment complex on Kimberly Way in southwest Atlanta and taken to a local hospital, where police say he is now stable. The shooting left neighbors shaken and brought detectives to the scene as investigators worked to piece together what happened. Authorities have released few details while the investigation remains active.

An officer at the scene told Channel 2 Action News the child was shot three times in the arm. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where Atlanta police say his condition is stable, according to WSB-TV. Investigators have not yet said how the boy was struck or whether anyone is in custody, the report notes.

Complex Has A History Of Shootings

The Kimberly Way property, identified in past coverage as the Ashley Cascade apartments, has been the scene of repeated gun incidents over the last several years, including a 3-year-old who was struck by gunfire in 2024, neighbors and local reports show.
