Grand Rapids pottery studio opening Eastown location in late May

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The owners of a Grand Rapids pottery studio are expanding with a new location in the city’s Eastown neighborhood.

Kris and Troy Kaley, who own The Mud Room at 1971 E. Beltline Ave. NE, plan to open Eastown Pottery by the end of May. The membership-based studio will be in the Kingsley Building, 1422 Robinson Road SE, next to Connie’s Cakes and Pursuit of Happiness Co.

Kris Kaley said Eastown Pottery will have 24-hour access for members, as well as classes, workshops and events. She said the new location has more space than The Mud Room, allowing her and her husband to serve more residents…
