Last year, an iconic Disney World bar closed its doors, and longtime fans were not happy.
The dueling pianos bar was a staple of Disney’s BoardWalk for nearly 30 years and it had been a place where fans liked to gather at the end of a long day in the parks to enjoy the music and have a nightcap. But now, after its closure, it’s reopening in a NEW location!
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Jellyrolls is building out a commercial space in Lake Buena Vista, less than 10 minutes from its former location. A grand opening for the new location is planned for either late summer or early fall.
“We’re excited to continue the legacy we’ve had and do our thing,” said Amber Antel, director of operations. The new spot will feature free parking, which will be much closer to the building than the parking at the Disney World location, and you’ll be able to be dropped off right at the front door by rideshare services. That means transportation from Disney World will be a breeze!
It has been nearly a year since the original location closed, and the move has taken so long because the Jellyrolls owner, Michael Williams, was determined to find the perfect spot. Construction is now underway.
Many things you know and love about Jellyrolls will remain the same, including its specialty cocktails and signature popcorn. The club will still be restricted to ages 21 and older, and the song list “will still forgo overly sexual or violent lyrics.”
We can’t wait to check it out when it reopens in the new location. Welcome back, Jellyrolls!…
