Nashville father urges screening after colon cancer diagnosis as cases surge in younger adults

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Every day, nearly 60 Americans in their 40s or younger are diagnosed with colorectal cancer — that’s about one person every 25 minutes.

New data now shows it has become the deadliest cancer for adults under 50.

As Colon Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, doctors are raising concerns about the sharp rise in cases and urging people to pay attention to their bodies.
